Earlybird payments for A7 are now open until the end of May, now with a fancy pants credit card facility, so you have no excuse not to get your ticket!

Looks like we missed our deadline for opening up payments. We’re actually pretty gutted about that; we want to make paying for Auckmageddon 7 easier than ever before, and being accurate about when we accept payments is a big part of that.

The reason it’s been delayed is because we underestimated the time it’d take to deal with the banks, and the other parties involved, now that we intend to accept credit card payments. This includes both the bank verifying everything works - and us making sure our payment management code is good (because frio made it, and that guy’s a jerk). We’re hoping that taking credit card payments will make it easier for you to pay, keep accounting with regards to your ticket more obvious, and hopefully, help us sell more tickets.

We should be launching the verification process on Monday. If all goes to plan, payments will open fully on Friday, the 4th of May. We’ll post more when we know more.

Cyborg Cup Grand Final

Our Cyborg Cup is reaching its climax as our two remaining teams step up to the plate to see who really is New Zealands best Team Fortress 2 clan, and who is worthy of exclusive sponsorship to Auckmageddon this February.

The Grand Final will take place Thursday 12th January at 8:30pm, there are multiple ways to catch the action:

You think your clan has got what it takes to smash the big boys at A6? Well you better step up and throw it down at the inaugural Cyborg Cup TF2 Tournament.

The tournament opens on the 1st of December and will pitch your clan up against some of NZ’s finest, and perhaps some of our not so finest.

Winning team is crowned NZ’s best Team Fortress 2 clan and wins official sponsorship from Cyborg Gaming.
Each member will be decked out with a Cyborg RAT 7 mouse, Tritton AXPro headset, Cyborg keyboard and free entry to Auckmageddon A6 to defend their title in February 2012.
